Personally, I find it compelling...

I never saw Project Greenlight (nor can I find it to view anywhere online), so I have no basis for comparison. I don't know who either of the directors are, so I have nothing to judge them on. I think Anna is the more interesting of the two, and I really enjoyed watching her thought processes unfold in front of the camera (both self-deprecating and funny). Initially I found Shane to be annoying, but now I'm interested to see where it goes from here given all the restrictions and rules of the shoot. I did think it was hypocritical that these directors are given "complete creative control," yet Shane is being pressured to tone down his vision because it's not mainstream enough. Kind of goes against the whole spirit of independent cinema (or whatever you want to call it, in this reality show context). Well, I'm in it for the long haul anyway.

I read a couple of other posts on this board. Why is everyone so f#cking judgmental?
