I saw both movies independently before seeing the series, interesting pe

I had seen "Not Cool" a few weeks ago on NetFlix and then selected "Hollidaysburg" this weekend unknowingly. It was strange, I had this feeling of déjà vu, but couldn't put my finger on it. Once I searched "Hollidaysburg" on Wikipedia and found my way to the Chair, it all made sense, both had the same initial script and premise. For this reason I feel I am more unbiased as I had no witnessed the production documentary. I definitely enjoyed "Hollidaysburg" more, it's a matter of taste and I enjoy the dram eddy genre. I am not a teenager, so it makes sense, not to say that I don't subscribe to a few YouTube Comedy Channels. The slapstick comedy and playing multiple characters in drag turned me off to "Not Cool" but I have to say I enjoyed Shane Dawson as a real person going through the journey as much as I liked Anna. I was cheering for him as much as her though I felt his winning the contest was definitely a product of fan base meddling (I might add some The Chair viewers did the same for her, but ultimately his fan base helped him... He kinda earned his following).

Just thought I'd share, it was such an eye opener when I realized the reason for my déjà vu feeling!!!

I watched the series before the films and it made me absolutely HATE Shane Dawson. That being said I "tried" to go into the films with an open mind. I HATED Not Cool and found Hollidaysburg not that great either but infinitely better than Not Cool. I'm curious if you could go back in time knowing The Chair existed if you would have watched the show before the films?
