needs a sequel

I disagree with a lot of the commentary. I did see similarity between the 2 leading females, but liked the movie enough to watch it again so they became easily decipherable.

I felt this was a homerun in that...it felt very real and genuine. There were laughs and awkward moments (that were meant to be awkward) and I connected with the characters well.

There was an occasional crude moment but it added to its honesty...life is sometimes crude.

I loved this movie but did feel it left too much hanging at the end....that's a win in a way...I cared to know more. Hopefully, it does well enough to lead to a sequel. I'd definitely watch it.

As for "Not Cool"...well ..it was brilliantly titled as, throughout the entire movie, all I kept thinking was "that was so...Not Cool". The movie was an abomination...I laughed twice. It just tried too hard and was overtly crude and raunchy without being remotely funny, in most cases.

But, "Holidaysburg".... I actually loved. As I said, I just hope there's a sequel.

I pretty much have to disagree with you about a sequel. They had their chance to tell a story about these characters and show some growth, but didn't.

Spoilers:
The resolution of the 5 main characters: Scott is better able to accept that his family is moving from his hometown, but he's 18-19 and usually people branch out anyhow; Tori monologues on the bus about accepting the new you everyday, but again she's 18-19 years old and obviously should be growing and not clinging to her past anyhow; Heather decides that she will return to school, which her parents pay for, with a whopping 1-2 weeks left in the semester after thanksgiving; the weed guy is driving her and looks at her, while she's asleep; and lastly the redhead just randomly kisses Tori. They should have spent way more time developing these characters and much less making out.

Not cool is not a good film either, but I feel it largely did have closure at least.
