Solid movie but disappointing twist

I was loving it until the "twist". It just felt disappointing and I felt there was going to be so much more to it. I even waited until after the credits to see if there was going to be something else shown. But nope that was it. Pretty disappointing ending to say the least. Also, the last scene was dumb and out of place. Why do that?

But with all that said I still really enjoyed this movie.

I don't know I've always avoided scary movies because I don't believe in the spirit world and they depend on fear I don't feel at the expense of a decent plot but that the 'Grandparents' turned out to be a couple of looney toons was a bit of a refreshing change.

It is a nice change but at the same time I would prefer the supernatural element over just a bunch of crazy people. Its more interesting that way in my opinion.

I thought the movie was okay but I agree that I was hoping for more as well. I was hoping there would be some type of supernatural twist or maybe something going on with the mom.

Then go watch "The Conjuring" or "Insidious" or "Paranormal Activity"... or any other of the number of unoriginal, supernatural movies they are pumping out these days. IMO, the twist was refreshing and intelligent. I'm so sick of that supernatural crap.

I'm in the middle. Like I was disappointed by the twist but at the same time I didn't want it to be anything supernatural. I wish it really was their grandparents but they're fvcked up in the brain because of something the mother hasn't revealed about them in the past. Something that would bring the mother and her parents story full circle.

I am a little slow...I thought the twist was they were sick from mold...and the awful thing the daughter did was flood the basement
