People hate Halloween 3 because they were expecting to see Michael Myers once again.
People hate The Visit because it's yet another M. Night Shyamalan movie.
They would both be more highly respected and regarded if people went into these movies with no expectations. That's the problem right there.

I haven't seen enough of M. Night Shyamalan's films to hate them for no reason. This was a solid 6/10. I'd watch it again to see the reaction from other people, but it had plenty of dumb moments.

shareWell Halloween 3 is a good movie. And I don't hate the Visit because it's an M. Night movie. I just happen to hate most of the movies he makes. And while there is joy to extract from some of his movies (The Happening has it's moments, as does the Village). The Visit is probably his worst. Irritating characters, unmotivated actions, contrived dialogue, no scares. Bleh. I rarely say this, but I absolutely hated this movie. Probably the worst "studio" movie I've seen since Kick-Ass 2. Unbelievably bad.
