I think it's the boy mostly. He was quirky I thought it was cute. They were sweet kids in their own ways. But man that Grandpa deserved what he got.

I hated the fake pop pop and Nana. First off you murder your children, and think you deserve a chance to be a grandmother, yet never let her kids grow up to have them.

The originals had every right to be excited and talk about being a family again. Wtf.

The kids were fine, except for the boy having his football memory freakout moment, and making his sister cry by being a sadistic little asshat, bugging her about why she doesn't look at herself in the mirror.

The main thing that bothered me was the rap ending, after all they'd been through, showing them being just dandy weeks later. That would not be the case, at all.

I don't know why people would hate the kids in this movie. I thought they acted quite sensibly and reasonably compared with most kids in horror/suspense movies. In fact, it was one of the few times when I was rooting for the kids to survive, rather than the other way around!

I went in expecting them to be annoying as hell, and quite the opposite. Really good performances by both actors and was stunned that they are both Australian!

They annoyed the *beep* out of me. No 15 year old girl speaks and acts like that girl did. And the same with the boy although I was able to tolerate him a little more. They we not relatable. They seemed like cartoon characters not average 15 and 11 year olds.

This was my problem with it initially. The girl was not a real character. She said things and used words that NO 15 year old girl would. And her knowledge of film techniques was not believable.

The girl was 100% unrealistic and the boy was 100% insufferable. Every time he "rapped" I found myself hoping he'd get an ax in the back. What an unbelievably awful film.

I was "that" girl. Yes, there are teenagers who are artistic, articulate and generally act like adults. She was very intelligent and mature for her age. An "average" teenager wouldn't have had the skills to produce a documentary, so it was necessary for her character to be above average in the intelligence department.

I thought the kids were the best part of the movie. Smart, grounded, sympathetic, and kind to others. I give them a 8/10 for their performances.

I agree 100 percent about the kids. Especially the little boy. He was beyond hilarious and made the film memorable for me. Hos little raps were cute.

No, you are not the only one. I, too, thought they were charming and as cute as could be. Nothing obnoxious about either one. Acted like a bro and sis would, and the girl was precocious, it was not "hard to believe", IMO. I thought they were good in their roles and would hope they do some more.
