she woke up at 12...

And she had a meeting at 12:30, so she just didn't go? And she wants people to now believe that she's reliable and dependable??? She's a f'ing nutcase.

They're, their, there. They're different. Trust me on this.

reply

Right? My god can't she see herself? She needs deep seated theraputic work done. She appears to be a self-indulgent, wealthy hoarder at this point. It's clear that her parents used her as an atm from the start; thereby giving her inordinate power over the family. Her idiot parents are equally to blame. I half expected to see Dina wearing a crown and eating grapes when she was hovering at Lindsays apartment. The real sane people are her sobriety "coach" and personal trainer. Matt? Ugh. My god, where did she find him?

reply

Sorry, her parents aren't to blame at this point. True....years ago, I would have agreed. At this point, she is pushing 30 and it's time for her to take responsibility for her own life and her own very poor choices.

She didn't wake up till noon because she was out drinking and snorting cocaine the night before. That one is obvious enough.....AJ went out on a limb for her, and Lindsay made a fool of her....another bridge burned.

The bad news is you have houseguests. There is no good news.

reply

I'd like to clarify my statement about her parents. Blame is a tricky thing. The issue isn't blame. If she doesn't deal with the anger she has toward her parents for using her then she will continue to use alcohol and drugs. You can't get there from here. If she addresses her childhood pain she can become a full fledged adult, and in turn develop compassion for herself and her nutty parents (who obviously suffer themselves from some kind of crap.)

reply

What is considered addressing though? I know all that happened in my life and acknowledged it and tried to let it go and my life still feels ruined.

reply

She needs an alarm clock. And to grow up.

reply

Some people will be reliable one memorable time and then be really good at convincing others that's enough with like 30 other no-show cases.

And they are good at giving convincing arguments. Ugh!

Matt needs to grow a pair of balls and wake her lazy ass up!!!!! When she gets paid, he gets paid. If my paycheck was determined by whether or not she showed up, I would make sure her prissy ass was up!!!!

reply

That all sounds good in concept, but these personal assistants know their continuing employment is at the whim of these spoiled, vapid celebrities that will fire you in an instant.

There is only one person to blame for her not waking up in the morning....Lindsay herself.

The bad news is you have houseguests. There is no good news.

What I want to know is why she agreed to do this show in the first place? She clearly didn't take her supposed "sobriety" seriously at all after leaving rehab. Did she really think that wouldn't be OBVIOUS to the viewing public? She has cancelled on the film crew and on the Elle Indonesia crew, shown up late (and even looked like she'd been on an all night bender during the Elle shoot), let the whole world see her out partying in nightclubs, and drank wine at her mom's house....All while the cameras rolled. She appears glassy eyed during most of the show's interview segments, too.

The worst part is, her family members obviously all know she isn't clean and everyone continues to enable her. What kind of mother would give her daughter wine upon her exit from the umpteenth rehab stint?

I fear this woman will never get clean and may even up overdosing eventually. She is but a shell of her former self already and it's really sad to watch. I'd pity her if she wasn't such a narcissist. Her disregard for others is the hardest part for me to watch. She doesn't seem to 'get' that her career is circling the drain.

She took the show because they offered her a truckload of cash (enough to buy her NY apartment) and she just figured she could do whatever she wanted and they cameras would follow her around and not intrude on her life at all. She probably also figured they weren't going o "out" her if she drank or did drugs. She likely assumed she'd be able to get them not to air that kind of stuff (or she'd just drink or use when the cameras weren't around.

And don't forget, she was in LA (PST) having come from New York (EST) so her body was actually 3 hours ahead. Basically, she woke up at 3 in the afternoon!!!!!!!

reply

Good point.....you're right.....I didn't think about that. And if you're still in bed at 3pm when you have a job appointment? Using cocaine and drinking.....

The bad news is you have houseguests. There is no good news.

^Great point about the time difference! I hadn't even taken that into consideration. That makes it that much more obvious that she was drugging it up all night.

I guess she thought herself such a grand actress that she could deceive the viewers and no one would be the wiser. Instead she gave an in depth look at just how much of a hardcore addict she truly is.

Am I the only one who doesn't buy her "miscarriage" story? I hate to sound cruel but I honestly think she made that up after she saw the footage that was going to air on OWN. I think she made that up because she had to come up with something, ANYTHING that would brush her odd behavior under the rug and perhaps she thought a miscarriage story would garner sympathy in place of disgust.

I call bullshyte.

Honestly, I think she blew off the appointment because her trainer set it up, and Lindsay was mad at her from their conversations the night before. Lohan strikes me as that kind of petty and self-sabotaging.

As far as the recent revelation of the miscarriage, I am kind of uncomfortable passing a personal assessment of the claim's truthfulness, but from what I have seen online, no, you are not alone in questioning it. I will say this, though, even if the statement is 100% true, it still doesn't justify or excuse the behavior she exhibited on the show. She took a lot of money to have this show follow her around and it is very clear that she often delayed or postponed filming without any justification proper or excuse. Furthermore, she showed the same disrespect towards the various photographers, models and co-workers on the sets of the jobs she took while filing the show. I never felt like I was watching an addict who was trying to get her life together and resurrect her career by being on a show. Instead, I felt like I was watching someone who felt like she didn't have to get her life together because she already had a show. She never had any appreciation of what the show could do for her, just what she was doing for the show (the rare moment when she was willing to be an active part of it).

I know it was a "reality TV show" but I don't think what we saw was just a "bad edit" made to make Lindsay look like some selfish jerk. What I saw was a person who never took responsibility for her actions and was not willing to put in any kind of active work to put her life back together. The only thing she seemed willing to do to aid her recovery was hire people and tell them they should be doing the work, but then, she would isolate herself from them when they pushed her in the slightest to be involved.

Given that the filming of the show has been over for some time now (nearly a year) and she has done little more on set than a couple cameo roles on established TV shows and now that the show have been aired and people can see there is still a lot of drama to be had with a "recovered" Lindsay Lohan, I am not entirely sure her career will ever recover. A lot of people point to Robert Downey Jr. as an example of someone who was completely unemployable but found his redemption, but a lot of his craziness was isolated to off the set, and the talk about him was nearly always that he was a consummate professional who was always professional on the job. I just don't see anyone willing to take a chance on Lohan when we all can see how difficult she is to work with.

Also, RDJ is a man, he didn't ruin his face with plastic surgery, there weren't a lot of rumors about the way he really made his money during his years of addiction, and, most importantly, he's legitimately incredibly talented. He's one of the best actors of his generation. Lindsay is blessed with a lot of natural charisma but she isn't that great of an actress.

I'm guessing she didn't have an alarm clock?

Listen, I'm no one to judge her, but any professional should attend their meetings and work. I've suffered from insomnia for many years and sometimes I might get one to four hours a night, if I'm lucky. I still have my alarm clock set up at a specific time and make it on time to my job and appointments.

The issue that I saw with Lindsay was that she's very unorganized. She says what people want to hear but she doesn't know what she really wants. From what I saw on the show, she was very difficult to work with. She was constantly late, cancelling and or postponing projects and at one point saying another line was too much for her.

I know that's just a period of footage but it sort of ties in with what the media has written about her since she was of age. Even a director called her out, publicly, over her unreadability.

Poor girl, I hope that she's able to turn things around. She just needs to get professionals that would drill in responsibility into her head. With that, she should be able to do just fine.
