Just...not...good.

I knew this show wasn't going to be that great but...it was still surprisingly bad. Like bad enough I just felt kind of sorry for every one in it. No one had any improv skills, it was just people awkwardly shouting at each other while doing poorly thought out bits and games. The slanted skit is a potentially funny idea but it went on WAY too long and all the players were wiped out and sweating by the end of it. Worse part was they did it all for a couple chuckles from the audience, and I think those were out of pity.

The only way I see this show surviving is if they hire a group of actual improv comics and have them support the guest celebrities like Whose Line Is It Anyway? Get some new talent out there and with the stage and sets that Riot has and it might be at least watchable.

I have to agree, unfortunately. It was actually kind of painful to watch the first skit with the tilted stage. I didn't laugh at all. Not even Steve Carell could save it. The girl just kept falling for laughs and all she did was scream everything. I also agree that the tilted stage skit went on way too long. It wasn't worth the very little laughter it got. Like you said, the laughs just seemed out of pity. I know I didn't laugh at all during it. The commercials made it look like an entirely different show. I was looking forward to it, but I'm really disappointed in it. If there is another episode next week, I will watch it one more time to see if it gets any better. If not, I won't be watching anymore.

Wow you have no sense of comedy or humour.

reply

You are a moron with no sense of humour.

What's with the hostility? Both of the other posters expressed their opinions with way more eloquence than you've displayed, yet you call them morons. Also I couldn't help but notice you showing up in several of these threads and attacking anyone who happens to dislike this show. And finally, this show is terrible. I couldn't make it through one episode. If you find it to be funny that's perfectly fine, but I would have to question your sense of humor, not theirs.

The stupidity of Americans.

reply

For someone who has a problem with Americans you sure spend an awful lot of time over on the How I Met Your Mother message board, which by the way is another fine example of your impeccable taste.

It's fine, he's probably autistic or has asbergers or something. They're all over IMDB. Just roving weirdo's with extreme hostility issues.

Australians also cancelled their version in 2013 called "SlideShow".
