Well, I just can't understand ...

... why this brilliant series has had so little attention.

Having been totally bowled along by episodes 1-8, I was a little fearful that last night's double-bill finale might be a let-down. Wrong!

The pace kept up ... the characters remained real (the reunion between Bert and Micheline brought a real lump to my throat!) ... and the ending did nothing to disappoint.

If, however, I hear that they're bringing out a season 2, I will be cross - totally unnecessary!

I agree it was very good

Being tucked away on bbc4 didn't help

Best tv of the week is bbc4 at 9pm saturdays

Dammit, second series on its way! Why can't people leave well alone? 'Cordon' was a self-contained masterpiece. (I know, I know ... money money money ...)

AND there's the inevitable US remake in the wings, sigh.

I have to disagree :O

I marathoned the whole series on iPlayer and when it ended my reaction was purely "Surely not?!"

In fact, to copy the tweet I tweeted when it ended...

Cordon cannot end like that!! too many questions still unanswered! wtf arghhh!

Yeah it was nice him going into the Cordon with her but there's still too much we don't know, I think a second series is crucial tbh.

And it's not just that I want answers given to me, I don't think The Returned (French version) needs a second series. But this does, too easy to leave it there.
