Loved it, until...

It started out as a crappyness B movie, but quickly turned into a very watchable and enjoyable film. Loved the humor from the main character. But that very last scène... the killing ... it was Just one twist to much for me. I dont think the film needed a fourth twist. It kind of ruined my experience of there truelly being a company that takes it to the very limit to scare a person. Now it turned out to ... well ... we Just kill u in the end anyway.

Still a solid 7/10 from me ... nice Job!! I had a good time watching it

Yea same here, it was just one step too far that was totally unnecessary and it kind of undoes the point of the whole thing, why bother going through all of that work just to cheaply off everyone unexpectedly at the end. It was still a cool flick up until that scene.

reply

Totally, it doesn't make sense. Forgivable though because it seemed like the only authentic "horror"- that and the Saw reference before anything was revealed

reply

Though it was a decent concept right up until the end, but the ending really ruined it for me and that isn't something you'll hear me saying often. I was unsatisfied enough with the ending, you'll never catch me recommending this film to anyone.

Not to mention that from a business standpoint, it's absolutely stupid. Yeah, I get they're supposed to be all psycho weirdos or whatever, but word of mouth/referral business is STILL the #1 best way to get new business and, well, keep your operation alive. How can they expect to do that if they keep killing off their clients before they get a chance to spread the good word?

pianomangidley,

I disagree with you. The company already has your money, and people won't and don't believe that people were really murdered by the company, so clients keep calling, and Fear Inc. keeps killing clients. Remember the last scene? "We got another one, boys!"

The clients/victims were in the middle of nowhere, and you know that in real life, thousands of people disappear every day, and there is no telling how many of those people are murdered.

If a company like this really existed, then how would the police trace the business or know that someone wanted to scare themselves and ended up dead?

Fear Inc, knew everything about the victim/client, because the victim/client told the killers everything.

It's brilliant business model. So. So film.

l'll get my cape...

I think it was a way to pay homage to the Red Wedding scene from Game of Thrones, which Joe admitted was his favorite horror scene of all time. In a way, the ending was foreshadowed from the very beginning. At least it was for me.

reply

Yup, same here.
Overkill but i got the ending in synchronisation with the Red Wedding.
Still a bummer.

reply

I actually dont think they got killed in the end. It was so he can experience it, but doesn't mean they actually did it. Plus I was kinda expecting them to offer him a job or some thing. To many twist endings for the last killing to not also be a twist.

reply

So what happened to Abigail Breslin in the beginning then?

reply

Crossover time: She is actually the girl in "Final Girl" at the beginning doing a job.

reply

It was the ultimate twist. Everything before that could be guessed, but the ending was just a jaw dropper.

reply

I liked it until the very end too
