Almost an exact clone of another recent movie...

I understand the not at all subtle similarities to The Game, but it was also an almost exact clone of the recent "Happy Birthday", except in this it was even more obvious that it was all fake.

And yet I still kind of enjoyed it.

Yea I saw Happy Birthday when it came out and it was ok, it had it moments and a cool ending. This film did all right up until the very final scene. Both were very similar especially the "accidental pseudo kill" followed by "dude it was all just a prank wtf did you do!".

The recent movie it reminded me of the most was Scare Campaign - a company based on scaring its customers, endless twists, characters who die doesn't really die before they suddenly die after all, etc...

I just watched scare campaign yesterday and enjoyed it much more than fear inc. Today I watched fear inc by chance and couldn't help feel it was very similar in premise (pranking someone in the vein of that show "scare tactics") and execution (constant twists going from it being real to it being an act).

I enjoyed both this and Happy Birthday and simply do not see the comparison at all.
The double twist used in both films is hardly original and has been done many times over.
Both decent films, Happy Birthday I think has the edge though.
