About six months ago 'All Things 3D' did an interview with the directors while they were at SXSW. You can catch the podcast of this interview here: http://allthings3d.net/podcast/index.php?name=2014-03-16_printthelegend_mixdown.mp3

We asked the some interesting questions about their knowledge of 3D fabrication and we were surprised on the admission that they were not 3D techies. However, we did talk about the logistics and why they chose the Makerbot and Formlabs. It is interesting scuttlebut on how Makerbot were not reflected in the best light, and Formlabs was more of the underdog. I own both a Form 1 and the Makerbot Replicator 2 and they both work pretty well. I have since made modifications to both, especially the Rep 2.
