Okay, I'm American and have never been to the UK, but my understanding is that firearms are overall difficult to get and unusual to see? The cop had a handgun in his belt, and all of these weapons kept appearing. Also, what "island" were they on that had a significant downtown area, signs in French, and a giant, isolated youth facility with fewer than ten inhabitants - I assume the didn't mean mainland Europe by "the mainland," so something off the coast of England - but French.

Just confused. And the area with the trailer looked closer to the natural environment where I live (semi-arid Southern California) than anywhere in the UK that I've seen (please excuse my ignorance here, again I've never traveled there - just based off of movies, pictures and descriptions in books).

well by the look of the landscape its not in the uk but the engkish and landscape would point to new zeland or australia ?

Having been there many times i recognised it instantly and Planet of The Apes was filmed there alonf with Dr Who and many other scifi movies aiming to look like a Mars landscape - can only be Mount Teide on Tenerife!

Nice place to visit but i wouldnt want to live there and the forests i think those scenes were filmed in Canada as Tenerife forests are mostly pine and a bit barren!
