So I still haven't completely finalised the story mode yet because I'm trying to get the 100% version (riddler trophies are a bitch). My question is when you unmask the arkham knight it turns out to be Jason Todd, then he put his helmet back on and it's just red. I think it means he is now red hood or will soon be. It's an obvious answer just wondering if someone can CONFIRM its definitely red hood or was it just a nod to the character.

It is definitely Jason Todd as Red Hood.
Jason became the Red Hood after his resurrection by Ra's al Ghul. However, Rocksteady gave Jason a new persona of the Arkham Knight, which is explained more in depth in the Red Hood DLC. In a nutshell, the Red Hood DLC shows Red Hood, aka Jason, teaming up with Scarecrow and becoming the Arkham Knight to become Batman's ultimate match. In the Arkham Knight video game, Jason rescues Batman as the Red Hood again, doing away with the AK persona. No explanation is given why he returned as Red Hood.
