Difficulty Level

I have completed every arkham story on hard. Is it just me or was arkham knight kind of dumbed down. Seems they shortened a lot of interactions. Could be in my head. What do you think?

Can you be more specific?

reply

Well, seems the free flow combat is much less difficult. There were battles in arkham city that took me like 45 mins to get passed. Also when you are in predator mode and have to pick enemies off I found myself taking everyone of them out from the vantage points instead of having to have a strategy for each villian. Even removing the vent covers takes less time it seems. It could be in my head I dont know. Maybe I have just gotten so used to the hard setting it isnt a challenge anymore.

That's called improving upon what came before. Rocksteady did their homework, they didn't want to copy what we had in Arkham City (that's how we got Arkham Origins), like Batman himself, they've got to keep his moves faster and improved to adapt to the enemies he has to fight. And this time, he's not going up against trigger-happy clown thugs. He's battling soldiers. Strategically trained killing machines.

Well I was hoping you would write back and share your opinion, oh well.

I agree.
The only hard/frustrating parts were with the batmobile

No. Batman is at his full peak of perfection with "everything" including the new suit he has gained. It would be idiotic to make the game overly hard (especially combat wise) when the guy is clearly the king of azz beatings in this stage of his career as a vigilante. The game isn't easy, but it seems that way to gamers such as us and many others who are constant players of the franchise. Developers did their job correctly because this shows just how experienced we are in controlling Bats. Enemies are no match for him, which is why in some cut scenes and during the fights this is stated- i.e The Arkham Knight said it after you take out a group of soldiers so quick and easy on Staggs airship " Be honest, its the suit and not the crumbled up old hero inside of it right?"

LOL

The other games are meant to be hard "initially" because he's still finding himself.

Other than the Batmobile missions, I died like a total of 6 times throughout my first playthrough. Either this game is very rewarding towards veteran players, got easier, or as somebody previously replied Rocksteady improved the mechanics so well that it's just smoother and easier than ever before.

Although, I do like the additions of the medics and the big guys. They added some much needed variety with the henchmen Batman fights.
