...this show is on the history channel for a reason - cuz it's all about Louisiana's history! Louisiana = swamp = creepy, historical folklore legends...Don't like what we are all about or believe in? Then don't watch the show, n keep ur negative feedback to yourself! I, for one, am a skeptic of all the swamp legends (and legends all over the world), but I watch the show, cuz it's entertaining, and cuz my BFF is one of the main characters. It hurts me, so I can only imagine what the cast n crew thinks of everyone's lack of positive feedback and constructive criticisms!!

Sorry candy... every show on the channel that still has the nerve to call itself HISTORY is garbage... and I for one am not going to reward them, for turning my once favorite Cable Channel into the steaming pile of dog do it is today, by keeping quite about how upset I am with their programming.

And I really don't give a big foots hairy behind if the cast and crew are upset about it... which I really doubt they are... I've been upset for seven years now because of the cesspool Ms Dubuc and the cast and crews of these cheaply produced, faked POS "Reality" shows have turned the channel into.

+1 on everything you said. And it's not just History - it's National Geographic, Discovery, and every other former educational channel. They are part of a massive dumbing-down happening across the entertainment world that sees its worst examples in things like "Ridiculousness". America - you are losing it. Watch Conan O'Brien's "Why China is Kicking Our A$$" and try for God's sake to understand that it's not a joke!!!

Everything is now being written for tatted-out twentysomething knuckleheads- even the astronomy shows are "WHAT IF IT ALL BLEW UP TOMORROW AND KILLED US ALL?"

It's beyond pathetic; it is a culture eating itself. It's the Roman Empire at its twilight. Good bloody luck to all of us.

It says before the show starts that these are re inactment NOT happening as they film it. It's better than Not Finding Bigfoot by a long shot, or Monsterquest

Monsterquest was great. Finding Bigfoot is pretty bad. Cryptid is good stuff. Very entertaining.

I find the show entertaining. I actually think the reenactment format was a good way to go. Seems more suspenseful than the average documentary format would have been for this topic.

This is the biggest joke I have seen yet. Especially when you use Jebediah from Storage Hunters as one of the locals (more bs). So storage hunters I assume is scripted too. I don't care who your BFF is, this is bs. I live right where you are filming and no one gets killed in the swamp by some creature. This is a crock of bs. The only bodies that are found have drowned or have been shot by another human not some dumb ass creature. The Rougarou is a story our grandparents told us to scare us so we wouldn't go in the woods just as my mom has done. I totally agree, a waste of time and completely fake and scripted. I am from south Louisiana right where they are filming and this is a joke. There is no such thing going on and bodies are not found eaten up in the swamp by some creature. Bodies are found shot or drowned on the other hand, not this unrealistic bs the history channel wants people to believe. Sure, our grandparents tried to scare us with the Rougarou stories of a shapeshifter that looked more like a wolf or werewolf not a bigfoot that was part evil spirit but no one believes that bs anymore. As for the cast, they are all actors and if they wanted it to look real, they would have used the locals. Luc Baptiste is Britt George an actor from Orlando, Florida who played in True Blood, Dexter, Boston Legal, Supernatural, For Love and Country. Jules D'Entremont is Jimmy Lee Jr. another actor who played on Catch 44, The Iceman and Shark Night 3-D, even Deputy Lambert is a fake and is the obvious James Ricker II from Maine who played in "This Is The End", "Oblivion" with Tom Cruise. Tammany D'Entremont is the actress Rachel Whittle who plays in Beautiful Creatures, Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter, and G I Joe Retalliation. Even the old man with the long beard who claims to be a local is actually an actor name Avon Maser who played in Looper and The Campaign with Will Ferral along with the movies The Colony, Final Destination, Storage Hunters (he's Jebediah on Storage Hunters, so this is scripted too). And Dr. Hans Schmidt is played by John Wettermark who is the actor who is from Mobile Alabama and later moved to New Orleans. He actually played on "Dallas Buyers Club" with Matthew McConaughey as one of the hospital board members. There is no missing body or to make it really outrageos, a body that got up from the morgue and walked off. I had to laugh at that one. New name for the show: SCRYPTED

I for one don't care whether or not it's real..."I LOVE IT". It's kinda like The Legend of Boggy Creek (one of my favorites) meets Blair Witch Project. Please tell me that there will be a season 2. As for all of the naysayers... if you don't like the show there is this wonderful new invention called a remote control. You can actually change the channel if you don't like what's on and you don't even have to get off the couch. Maybe you should go watch some of the other reality shows like "Party Down South". None of them are from South Carolina either.

Yeahhhh... but you see blu... since you're a , you probably don't realize your brilliant idea has already been stated, and stated many times before by fans of garbage TV.

Trouble is... there are getting fewer and fewer channels to switch to that doesn't have some cheaply produced, scripted, staged, faked POS Reality show on it.

And maybe before you take the time to register and spout off, you have to realize that there are more and more people, getting upset with the steaming cesspool of garbage programming, Nancy Dubuc has turned the channel she still has the nerve to call HISTORY into.

And more and more people getting tired of paying $100 a month for 300 channels and watching only four or five... and most of that number being Broadcast channels...

So stop "paying $100 a month for 300 channels of which you only watch 3 or 4" and maybe they will get your message. As for me being a .. I have as much of a right to express my opinion on this board as you do. If that offends you then you have a problem that you need to work out.

Right on...First the "newbie" refers to your idea, and that you may not have known it has been stated ad nauseam... don't take out of context..

Now,and those of us who are unhappy with the garbage Cable TV has become have just as much right to express our displeasure with the garbage the channels churn out... even though those in charge don't care what I say, what you say, what anybody other than the 50,000 Nielsen TV Viewers have to say...

... some of us who are tired of "paying $100 a month for 300 channels" feel that by merely "changing the channel" and saying nothing just gives bobblehead approval to the scum in charge of programming... and maybe we feel the need to vent... however useless that venting may be.

Dropping my service only hurts me... I give up clear reception and go back to the days of tin foil on the rabbit ears... I don't think so. You like the show.. great... doesn't offend me... I don't like the show or any of the other "Reality" shows on HISTORY or any other channel... so what... that shouldn't offend anybody either... leave it at that... take what is posted here add a dollar and buy yourself a coffee.

So why not vent on the history channel boards instead of this one? You'd rather complain about something than try to change it. I admit that I don't like 99.9% of the "reality" shows on now days either. But this one is not being offered as reality as it has a disclaimer at the beginning. It is entertainment... take it as such.

blu.... the so-called "HISTORY CHANNEL Discussion Board" is defunct... closed down in 2010... they had removed all the posters that voiced the truth, and stated that all the programming was garbage and had zip to do with "History".

All that was left was the group of hateful Shills and the biased moderator, HIST_KAREN, and they found out that without negative opinions of their rotten programming... there was nothing to talk about... now all that's left is Facebook where if you say anything that doesn't march in lockstep agreement with Nancy Dubuc's company line.. you get unfriended.

Hey, CRYPTID may very well be the best show on TV that ever was... but to many it's shackled to a channel that has become known for cheaply produced, scripted, staged, faked Pseudo-Reality shows...

As far as changing anything... the Channel Execs don't care what I say, what you say, if I watch or don't watch... all they care about is that they can get enough of the 50,000 Nielsen TV Viewers to, "watch, or have t heir TV set tuned to and may not be watching" the garbage they churn out.. so that they can get the extrapolated, estimated "millions and millions" of viewers.. that they then taut as proof of the craps success.

The slime in charge of the Cable Channels have the magic formula and the only thing that will change things, is a Congressional Investigation that will make the "Game Show Scandal" look like spitting on the sidewalk.

They churn out cheaply produced garbage, market it as a "Hit", over hype it, taut extrapolated.. meaningless... numbers, and over hype some more, then continue to bring back Season after Season... all designed to give their substandard product the "illusion of success".

But, even though more and more people are catching onto the scam... complaining is all we have... and like I said that and a dollar gets you a cup of coffee
