Season 2

Honestly, 8 episodes seems rather short for a season. I'm surprised season 1 didn't have 10 episodes like Orphan Black or 13 like Atlantis.

That said, I'd like to think it'll return given Orphan Black has pretty similar ratings. It's not like that gets a whole lot of viewership either and I think this is better than Orphan Black, which I've been following since the very beginning.

Sometimes it takes a network awhile to renew a show. Look at SyFy. It took them a few months to renew both Haven and Dominion for a second season. They were on the fence with both of those shows. It may be the same way with BBC America and Intruders.

I think cable channels in particular have more of a leeway when it comes to something like this, as they know they're not going to pull the same kinds of numbers the major networks are going to pull when it comes to shows. I've seen shows cancelled by TNT, USA, etc..., but they've generally lasted far longer on those channels than they would've had they been on a major network. Major networks are much quicker to cancel and make the decision to do so quicker. They'd rather not give something a chance than try to give it a decent chance with the audiences.

Has Intruders been renewed? I am somewhat non-committal as to whether I will watch if it is renewed. It started off great, but really devolved into a big, hot mess. The whole conspiracy and secret cult was so cliche, and please someone murder Mira Sorvino's character. Rose got on my last nerve. I am not a big fan at all of MS, so I guess this won't help! hehe I did love Simm - he was very likable and interesting and I loved Millie as Marcus Fox (not so much as Madison). James Frain was cool as heck in his scenes as Richard Shepherd. Poor Robert Forster had a thankless part as Frank Shepherd.

As for Dominion, the first episode was so boring I nearly fell asleep several times. It got much better (in terms of action) as time went on, but the only things to watch for in that show were Michael, Gabriel (though he was hammy as heck!), and Bix (sadly Bix met her demise). I liked Alex but he was kind of a goofball and too busy worrying about that fool Claire. They never fully fleshed out Uriel's plot to divide Gabriel and Michael. Raphael barely had any time (liked Louis/Raphael!).

If its based on a book, I can't see there being a second series. Unless there was more in the novel

I can't believe they still haven't said one way or the other.

on the main page there's a promo notice that Mira Sorvino has joined the CBS show "Stalker"... So unless they plan on recasting her role, it looks like she knows something about Intruders that we don't.

wow, that's weird. I don't think they'd swear him to secrecy if the show was cancelled, so maybe it is getting renewed after all?

No, it aired in the UK after the US...I asked this question on the board here and someone from the UK provided that information. Pretty sure it's probably concluded it's run there by now; no clue how the ratings were.

John Simm (Jack) and James Frain (Shepherd) are both British actors so their presence in the cast might have helped the show's UK ratings.
