Does it have a proper ending?

Let me put it this way...the series concludes pretty much the same way that the novel it's based-on concluded, with a few minor changes.

However--and this probably won't be want you want to hear--the ending of the novel wasn't all that conclusive; things do wrap up for most of the main characters, but it's definitely left open for a continuation of the story. The author never wrote sequel, though, which makes it all the more unfortunate the tv series wasn't renewed because I was really looking forward to where the story would have went in a second season.



People believe what they want to believe. One term for this is Faith. Another is Delusion.

British TV producers aren't in the habit of making "sequels" to existing books, they make adaptations rather than series. So unless as it's already been said a second book exists or the author is commissioned to write a script don't hold your breathe. The good thing about it is it's unlikely they'll do a maze runner in the hopes of getting another one commissioned, any questioned answered in the book will more than likely be answered on screen.
