Can someone answer these questions?

I enjoyed this series but these few things confused me:

Query1: I was under the impression that Rose had only been taking over Amy's body recently and that the Amy personality was dominant only until the weekend she went away and Jack didn't know where she was. BUT in the flashback scene of Marcus being buried behind a brick wall, it is Rose (in Amy's body of course) that puts the final bricks in place. That was nine years ago! If Richard fell in love with Amy and failed to being Rose through, then what did that scene mean? That she switched back and forth and it took 9 years for Rose to come through fully?

Query 2: When Jack is going through the '9' books in the underground library he picks out two books with famous names (a trick to delight the viewer - which I admit I enjoy; mixing reality with fiction). But when he picks one up and reads "Ronald Regan 18 something or other" it confused me. If it said "Ronald Regan" wouldn't the year be 2004? Even if it was an old soul that inhabited Ronald Regan's body, it would say a different name, correct?

Query 3: If, as this story suggests, we are one soul inhabiting many bodies, then why did Rose insist on only being "Rose'? Is it because her other lives/personalities were not interesting or nice enough to re-visit?

Query 4: How do they know where the souls end up? If for instance the old rich man at the beginning, who's death ritual was witnessed through Jack's zoom lens, wanted to be re-awakened in the next body he now inhabits - well - how could the group find that body to wave the trigger in his face? If my soul left my old body, then it could in fact be in ANY new baby born in the whole entire world. That baby isn't born sprouting on about a soul being in them so how the hell would the group know? Like Rose knowing her old lover was in some random Chinese dudes body.....I understand fiction requires a suspension of disbelief but this just bugged me.

Having said that, it was a fun series to entertain and I would have liked to have seen a second series.
