Why, why, WHY does this great show make so little effort to avoid anachronistic phrases? It's ridiculous.

I neither have enough memory of the 80's nor watch the Goldbergs enough to do that...again, I love this show. It's just super annoying when they use EXTREMELY OBVIOUS modern phrases that it doesn't take any research not to use. It's like, why did you say that?

I find it more a slap in the face to viewers and an insult to their intelligence to portray the 1984 presidential election as happening concurrently with the height OF AMERICAN GLADIATORS' popularity.

Well, I have heard that The Goldbergs is pretty bad like that so I'll have to watch and rant...

I guess that is kinda silly, because I remember well American gladiators, and I was born in 1984. Oh well. Like poster above said, don't know how many people would even notice that.
