Just watched and wow!
Blown away by this atypical period sports film. Great tension, some comic relief and authentic baseball action. Watch if you get the chance!
shareIts a borderline masterpiece film. The review posted on here is BS; its a two-hour+ film, why the hell are they going to elaborate on EVERY character's problems and backstory? We get 10+ minutes of Emi's struggles (reviewer spelled her name wrong and he's even in Japan) and she isn't even a member of the team nor is she putting food on the table like the other men in the film.
It should be required viewing for any baseball fan, Japanese person or Japanese-Canadian
