Why all of the photos of infamous murderers?

Maybe they're soldiers of the devil? Lol. People whom the devil has influenced? There were some pretty evil people depicted. The professor mentioned the devil conquering the earth one soul at a time.

Anyway this film was a bit ridiculous although there were some creepy parts.
