Poetry Painter

I grew up in rural farm country (southern Illinois). I've never lived in a city like Queens, NY, but Nas' ability to describe his childhood, environment and life is so vivid, I feel I can see it all. I'm not a big rap fan, but I love to listen to Illmatic all the way through to Stillmatic whenever I want to experience something different. What a brilliant mind and vocabulary. Nas makes me want to read and write.
