The reason for the low ratings

It was too soft. Although I applaud the acceptance of the interracial relationships, it reaffirmed the difficulty of establishing it and was therefore hard to watch. Why did they not stir it up more and at least have the two leads kiss? It would have at least gotten more attention to the series. But still, on a positive note, this is one of the growing number of signals that movies and tv are going in the right direction.
