A havily pregnant woman climbing mountains?

I'm a bit perplexed by this plot point, the scans showed Katya to be in an evident state of pregnancy and yet she's trekking perillous mountains with Geoff and a guide? I know the pregnancy reveal is the mic drop moment, but I think suspension of disbelief is required here.

Was she that far along? I was thinking maybe 5 months, but I could be wrong. My children were both born when I was in my twenties and I was quite active until about the 7th month. I would have avoided perilous situations, though. Maybe they weren't expecting the trek to be this perilous??? I'm not sure.
