why so low-rated???

I have NO idea why this movie is rated so poorly here--it's not perfect but it's one of the best gay films I've seen in the last 5 years. The two leads have great chemistry, the film depicts what feels like a very real, loving family--where the parents even *gasp* have sex--and while the film deals with tackling a terrible tragedy, that's certainly not all it's about.

Maybe most refreshingly, it's a gay film where no one is coming out and none of the characters have any issue with the two lead characters being gay. Not that I don't love coming out films, and not that homophobia is over, but it's a nice change of pace to see a story with gay lead characters where neither the closet nor someone battling to be who they are is at all the issue, let alone the central one.

Go see this film! You'll be glad you did. 👍

Yeah what's up with the rating? Everyone's buzzing about this movie and I haven't even seen it yet.

If you throw out the slanted votes, people that tend to give a rating of 1 or 2 to gay movies, then the User Rating might be closer to 8.

I'd like to see this movie if I can find it.

I saw this at the Cleveland Film Festival and agree- the low rating is crazy. It is predictable, but entertaining and definitely entertaining and worth checking out.

This movie just played at Bloomington, Indiana's annual PRIDE-LGBTQ film festival and has been rated an audience favorite. It was well-deserved. It was an upbeat film about two young college guys withy big career aspirations who fall in love with each other, only to discover that their pasts are linked by a terrible tragedy that they are both too young to remember. It's nice to see a Gay movie where a young couple has to work things out and the problem is something else besides how to tell their parents that their gay. It's like: Gay guys and couples have the same life problems as strait guys and couples.
