Great production values but lousy history. No surprise at that.

I liked the actors' performances and how nice everything look but dear lord, who was in charge of the historical accuracy? Biggest complaint is the tiresome "Great Men" approach they used to explain away the entirety of a WORLD WAR. Those other documentaries done by the Military Channel, WW2 in HD and WW2 in Color, were both phenomenal and they used REAL footage. Not actors led in with cheap trailer music.

agree WWII in Color, and D-Day to Victory are far better, along with Nazis: Evolution of Evil. Seems like they tried to make this in the same style as The Men Who Built America, which I thought was phenomenal, but this show just didnt impress me much.

Hey, it was on the channel that still has the nerve to call itself HISTORY... don't expect much historical accuracy... besides this was one of the annual "History bones" they toss out once or twice a year... just as long as it has some semblance to "History" is good enough for the CEO... her forte is cheaply produced, scripted, staged, faked, garbage "Reality"...

"History Made Up Every Day"

If you deflect the topic of the thread from the show to me, our discussion is over
