Camera work...

Is it just me? I thought the camera work was abysmal. And the editing even more so. Many scenes were over shot and confusing. Close-ups when there should have been a pan to flow the action. Points of view were shifted erratically, and for no reason other than, "we got four more cameras, Kim! Lets use them in every scene!". Seems logical to me that more cameras require more post-editing. I simply felt there was an excess of both that served no purpose other than implied action where none was needed. Almost like, "just because we can". With production and acting values as high as they were, I'd have expected more, uhmm less rather, from the image crew. Less would have been more. The final product seemed sloppy and overwrought. Interestingly, the same duo (editor and cinematographer) did a fine job with 2011's War of Arrows. Maybe it was more-so the editing at fault here. All that said, it's the director's job to reign in, or cut loose, everyone on the production. Anybody? 😕

The camera work was fine. Editing was just horrible, especially the slow motions. Couldve made the movie less cheesy
