Pulling your sword out in front of a daimyo was punishable by death.
It was a sign of profound disrespect.

Even drawing blood inside the house of your master was an offense.
Looking at these guys posturing and drawing their katanas all over the place makes me giggle.

No, the Samurai didn't act this way.
It was especially wrong because even today, Japanese place a whole lot of emphasis on how one should maintain one's composure in public.
These dudes acted like mad berserkers.
Not classy warriors.
