The English dub on the U.S. release is very well made

CJ Entertainment released this movie in the U.S. on Bluray and just like their previous releases of movies like No Tears for the Dead, The Divine Move and Fists of Legend this one also contains and English dub and it is also really great.

It was made by the same people that made all of the English dubbing of CJ Entertainment's U.S. releases. It's Bang Zoom who have previously worked on a lot of anime releases before but now have been working on a lot of live action dubbing. It really is a well made English dub that just like the high quality work they have done before on their previous dubs of movies released by CJ Entertainment theirs goes as far as to actually adapt the original script to have dialog that matches the mouth movements of the actors. It's really impressive when it is done so well like they are doing here.

CJ Entertainment have made the right choice in hiring Bang Zoom to do their English dubs unlike WellGoUSA that hires Funimation to do the live action dubbing for any movie that they release that does have an English dub prepared already. Unlike Bang Zoom with their live action dubbing work, Funimation rarely care to match dialog to the mouth movements which ends up looking so amateurish. Funimation have done great live action movie dubs like for their release of Space Battleship Yamato but it is few and far between. Almost all their dubs for WellGoUSA with the exception of Legend of the Fist and The Man From Nowhere are very amateurish and that includes the live action English dubs they also did for Shout Factory.

So for those that were wondering if there is an English dub know that only is there one it is excellent and I hope CJ Entertainment continues to hire Bang Zoom to make English dubs for all of their future releases.

Better still, watch it in the original languages (Korean & Japanese) with English subs. A dub is never as good as hearing the original soundtrack in full.

As usual, the obligatory bandwagon jumper who can't think for him/herself comes with the cliche "dubs are all badz!!!!1!!" because that's what he/she read on forums and makes blanket statements to make thinking easier has to come in to reply.

I Agree...Subtitles is the best way to go for me too!

I'm not knocking the Dub Version or people who like it.. I always use subtitles for my foreign movies!

None of what you said has anything to do with why I wrote this post.

Which had nothing to do with my post.

I was not asking which do people prefer. I was commenting on a job well done with the English dub.

You and other poster on here either couldn't understand that or couldn't help themselves but post irrelevant nonsense.

You're projecting.

reply

This isn't anime. A dub in a live-action film will never capture the actor's true essence and intentions 100% (actually, at all).

You fail.

Proving his point.

Better luck next time!
