Everyone is blaming the actors but...

I'm confident these three could absolutely have delivered fine performances had they been reined in. The constant shouting and arguing ruined the movie for many. I blame the writer/director.

The actors did their job proficiently as did the director. The film failed b/c of the script. POD felt more like a one act play that they expanded upon to turn it into a feature w/ the last 15 or so minutes being the tacked on part.

Plus, another reason it failed is b/c the film was pointless. Tell me what context or depth anyone found in this production?

Yeah, it wasn't their fault. You can't make a gâteau out of a shіt sandwich.

The actor playing Ed was so good I truly hated the character! Lauren, who played Lyla, has been in better movies where she truly shines and this role just sadly wasn't a good showcase for her (see "Darling" for a better film with her as the lead). The actor playing Martin was in good form too. He was believably unhinged.

I thought she overacted in Darling (from beginning to end), and the actors actually over do it in this one too (both are by the same director, so it's most likely him and not the actors).

The screaming and the crying were very warranted, but I do think they went a little over the top. Whether it's the directors fault, or the actors fault, the point is it was a downfall for the movie. Plus, that actress is a HORRIBLE crier and screamer.
