Saw on NF. Pretty good.

A little long and meandering at times, but overall pretty decent. I gave it a 7.

I think they should have pared some of the early band formation info a bit and had more info about their fall out in 1987 and resurgence in 2001.

I just finished it on Netflix. I was never a fan but I grew up on Long Island and they played around. This doc is very well made and the band's story is very engaging while the band members present themselves very well. The movie doesn't even address "We're Not Gonna Take It" and doesn't show the video. Maybe they never had the rights to use it. It runs a little long but this gets 10/10 as a music documentary.

"We're Not Gonna Take It" highlighted the band's rise to stardom and worldwide play. This movie chronicled that journey.

It should have ended with the video, I agree, but I think it was more about the struggles to say this is what it took to finally have a platinum record. The End.

I'm glad they didn't directly discuss the MTV era. I'm not a metal or hard rock guy so I was surprised/impressed with their NYC Proto-Punk/Glam garage roots. Now I know how hard they worked and they were more than what I thought they were.

I put this on (Netflix) on a bored Sunday afternoon with no intention of watching the whole thing. To be honest, I only knew them from the early days of MTV and their spat with the PMRC with Dee sitting before Congress. In my head I kinda thought that this would be a major part of the documentary. I had NO idea that TS went back to the early 70's and were a such a big part of the New York Glam scene. AND that they had such a large following before their debut on MTV. Very entertaining and informative, needless to say I ended up watching the whole thing.

Careful man there's a beverage here!

Just watched it, and I absolutely loved it! TS were my heroes as a kid, and I had no idea any of this stuff happened. As far as I know as a 12 year old, Stay Hungry was the first thing they ever did.

I was hoping to get more of their MTV story, didn't like it only put into a couple of sentences at the end. I'm a casual fan, but the back story was very interesting.
