Didn't Like It Overall. The Gay Date Rape Seemed a Bit Much...

Just watched this. I like all the actors, (could do with a little less Jack Black these days). But the teasers seemed to throw it to a high school reunion comedy.
If anything, it was a painful drama about acceptance.
I also think it glossed over the fact that whoever Dan *beep* it was a betrayal to his wife.
At some point they say, Dan and wife (that wicked good actress) have been together for like sixteen years. I think breaking that trust would take more than a bullet of coke and an LA titty bar.
Maybe he's gay for Lawless, maybe he isn't, well, maybe he is. But he betrayed his wife, his boss and his family, to look better in front of high school people who don't like him.
That makes him a *beep* person, and when the protagonist is a *beep* person, I suppose you're left with a "comedy" like this.
