Modern Classic

I consider myself to be a all rounded movie person. Watching almost all in the "IMDB" top 250

After watching this I ask

Could this go down as a modern classic? Capturing the era of the obessesion with social media?

I loved everything in the movie especially the lighting and music.
It had me from the start

Maybe it's late but I really do think this will be remembered as a great

reply

No.

reply

Nah, this will be forgotten in like one week.

reply

Nope, even rewatched it yesterday and it's still awful, trust me, this WILL be forgotten (like it hasn't been already)

reply

I saw this when in major theatres more than twice and still remember and love it.Can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

reply

As I said I think I was abit tired after watching this... I normally hold my thoughts until the morning after and you can see why lol

reply

it could go down as a cult classic.

Also it's annoying that this site doesn't give any separation whatsoever from signatures.

reply

Cult classic.. I think those are the words I was looking for..
Thank you.

reply

Its a very impressive film, no doubt about that. I think it may fall JUST slightly short of being a classic.

I do consider The Social Network to be a hands down modern classic though.

reply

Really.............. short of being a classic. GTFOH. Classics must have a really low bar now or it's just the people doing the rating. Social Network isn't even close to bein a classic.

reply

time will tell i guess.

But you have to give Social Network credit for being a film that shows the birth of one of if not the most important social network.

Its a film for the times!

They'll be showing it to kids 30 years from now in schools

reply

"The Social Network", a true story of Facebook, certainly does rate very highly as a breakthrough of this type..
