Okay, I can see her playing her usual 'mean girl' type character but she probably wasn't the greatest casting decision in this film imo. She can't pull of the 'awkward, nerdy, quiet girl'. she may look the part at times but her acting just comes across as forced and quite comical at times as well.
this film was entertaining but a lil annoying at the last quarter.
Am I missing something here? Have I been watching an Emma Roberts twin all these years?
Emma is an EXCELLENT actress. I don't understand how people can say she's bad.
Sometimes I find her too brittle for appeal, but this wasn't an exemplar. I thought it was great and refined work, especially since they kept shoving the camera up in the actors' faces for suspense.

I didn't think she was bad in this movie, she's got this squeaky voice which hurts her in the preachier scenes, but I bought her as a repressed teenager.

shareI thought she pulled off her role perfectly fine. I'll agree that her seems forced and a bit contrived at times but for the most part I really don't mind her. I think she's cute.
