If this was to win an award...

I doubt it would get any award recognition. Best costumes maybe but nothing else. Since it qualifies as a mini-series its chances are higher but considering how tough the competition was last year (True Detective, Fargo) I doubt it would make the cut in any significant categories. And honestly I don't find it award-worthy. Not even the performances of the actors. They were not bad but the material they had to work with was just not there.
