JGL Gets Top Billing?

Seth Rogen is either really generous or needs a better agent because he never seems to get top billing when he probably should. James Franco got top billing over him in The Interview. Rogen got third billing, after Franco and Jonah Hill, in This is the End.

He's undeniably a bigger box office draw then JGL, and he probably even has slightly more screen time in this movie, certainly not less, and yet JGL gets his name first? Kinda weird.

The story is more about JGL with not only dealing with his ex but how it was his parents who died, with Rogen being close second in screen time and story.

JGL Gets Top Billing?

As one of this agonizingly mirthless production's few redeeming quality, dude earned every last inch of celluloid consumed by said top billing. Mackie was saddled with a thankless turn and that dude from Knocked Up done worn 'outch his welkom nearly a decade ago....

JGL is the lead character in the Film. Seth Rogen produces these movies so he is making more than anyone, he just doesn't have an ego that requires himself to be top billed in his own movies.

Exactly. Well said.

I dunno, I heard he was a bottom.

JGL ruined The Dark Knight Returns

This is not the kind of movie where 1 vs 2 billing order really makes a difference. Its a much bigger deal when you have big action movies where there are more big name actors than can fit on the movie posters.

JGL was the lead in this film so it makes sense.

Rogen wrote and produced This is the End, so I don't think he cared if he was top billed or not.

The Interview Franco was the lead in this film as well.

Rogen produces most movies that he makes today, he probably doesn't care if he's top billed or not since he's making more than anyone anyway.
