Why release the bee at the end? Wouldn't there be a new bee every day so the place would be filled with bees. What was the point of it? To kill the fiance? He didn't know he was allergic to bees.
shareNo, the idea is that some supernatural force is at work trapping them in those loops. The detective said it was like some force took hold of his hand and made him shoot. The boyfriend got the little girl to drink the juice, then fumbled and broke the inhaler and said he didn't know what came over him. Same thing. I didn't quite get the point of the whole situation but that's another matter entirely.
shareI saw it as a cycle of Karma - like the symbol of the Tao. Actions in one reality give rise to consequences, in this case, in another reality but the protagonists are the same and when You do something that has repercussions, You experience it and pay the price, even if it is a different version of You. I saw it that Karl had some dark side and the bee was at least symbolic of some wrong he perpetrated, for which the repercussions then played out. Absolutely mindblowing movie, beautifully crafted.
