Sorry but...

...from the trailer I did not get any hint that this is a comedy!
It seems well made but I guess I missed a point somewhere...

What else would it be? The movie is about a group of six guys trying to determine which one of them is the best, and for that they do all sort of stupid challenges and stuff to come to a conclusion.

So yeah, it's a comedy alright.

Fine, fine, I'll leave! But first I'm going to bother these peanuts! Hmm? Yes? Hmm? HMM?

reply

It wasn't funny at all though.

I actually saw the movie and kept waiting for them to rape and/or kill each other. So, yeah, I misread it too. And I'm still confused as to who won their silly contest other than knowing it's the guy who rides a motorcycle.

reply

The guy who won was the guy that made the speech at the end.

From watching the trailer, I got a BIG hint that it's a dark comedy. Just because the jokes aren't obviously stated or with a typical punchline, still a comedy indeed.

Ok, I'm super late to reply, but I'm going to say by your response, and by the lack of threads on this board, that it isn't as funny as critics have made it to be. I've yet to watch it, been on the fence about it since it became available on Netflix.

Did you ever end up watching? I wasn't much impressed with The Lobster, but have been meaning to watch Dogtooth. I'm guessing I'll skip this on and stick with Dogtooth. Sounds like a legit Thanksgiving-eve film, yeah?

Agreed on everything! Happiness is a dark comedy, not this! Check out Spirtokouto if you get a chance, it's so flippin awesome.

This is definately not a comedy. Or a drama. In fact it's nothing more than weird
