David is My Favorite

I love his sarcasm and dry delivery. He always gets a laugh from me every episode.

Totally agree. The motel clerk and the sister are a very close second. They're a hoot. This is the only good comedy on TV nowadays, IMO.

reply

His chemistry with Stevie (motel clerk) is so strong.

reply

David and Stevie are so droll. together. My favorite characters when together.

I also enjoy the show doesn't play into easy stereotypes such as ignorant rednecks verus the city folks. Nobody seems to bothered by David's pansexuality. Thus we are spared the "very special epsiode" of *beep* Creek.

reply

Mine too! I'm in ❤️

reply

i can't get enough of david and stevie. but also, david at the blouse barn - i am really sorry that's over.

david is played by the real life son (dan) of the actor who plays johnny (eugene), and they are also the show creators.

He's a phukking turd and won't ever act again after this show is cancelled. The rumours about cancellation are already flying. They're only showing it on Friday nights now... the beginning of the end. Thank goodness.

reply

The rumours about cancellation are already flying.
No, it's been renewed by CBC for a third season, and POP's website states they'll also be carrying the third season.

They're only showing it on Friday nights now... the beginning of the end.
No, CBC aired the show on Tuesdays in Canada, POP aired the show on Wednesdays. Both networks have completed their scheduled airings for season 2. It doesn't air on Fridays. It's viewable on-demand on some cable providers as well as on Amazon Video.

Try reading up on a show, or at least watch one episode before posting. That way your trolling won't be so obvious.

reply

Look at that user's posting history. All super negative. I bet he/she is a blast at parties.

reply

I am not a troll. My opinions are honest and my arguments are well backed. And, the info I shared is accurate.

And, just because they state they are renewed, doesn't make it true. Inside industry rumours already have it cancelled.

Buh bye.

reply

I come from the future. Sorry, troll. Season 3 is airing now. Netflix has picked it up in the US which is bound to increase its fan base enormously.

reply

I really hope that troll comes back here to see how stupid he ended up looking 

Less than forget. But more than begun.

reply

3 years later the show is still on...

reply

Just got cancelled...you were about three years too early.

Buh bye.

reply

I am from the future. Six seasons and won an Emmy for best show. lol

reply

Lol it was a great show, tons of heart...not sure why anyone would be gloating about it getting cancelled but people are weird here, I guess.

reply

Oh puh-lease! Catherine O'Hara is the captain of this ship. David's line delivery is always soooo drawn out, it gets old.

reply

I'm surprised. He's my least favorite character of this show.

reply

Mine too. I mentally checkout every time one of his scenes come on. He's sarcastic 100% of the time which is incredibly cloying and it takes him three times longer to get a sentence out of his mouth than it does for any other character because he always has to accompany everything with drawn-out, bitchy facial expressions and mannerisms. I just finished watching season 4 where his bf professes his love for him, and I just can't buy that ANYONE could ever fall in love with David. Totally unrealistic.

reply

This seems like something David would say lol

reply

Yes, he and John are my favorites. And I love when the two have scenes together. And I want to add that I love Stevie and any time she has a scene with David...their banter with each other is just priceless.

Also love Ted...mostly because he's hot AF...but he also has a way of delivering those lines that makes me laugh.

reply

I agree, they are great together. My best friend is a gay guy and while not nearly as bitchy as David, he called me and told me to watch the show because I was the Stevie to his David. I love his delivery, he makes me laugh at almost every line because of his facial expressions. I especially love when you can tell that he’s having trouble keeping a ‘straight’ face.

Ted is awesome, I hope both actors get more work because they are so talented and good looking.

reply

The actor playing Ted got a big role in another show, that is why he was barely in season 6.

reply

Oh thanks for telling me, that’s excellent!
