The matches are likely fake...

Don't get me wrong. I do watch the show constantly on demand since the Walking Dead finished ANOTHER season, but early in the season I saw one part that was inconsistent with the reality aspect of this show. In ep 2, Baton Rouge v Rolling Thunder, Turbo's hat is seen backwards for most of his match. The last round when he's seen struggling before the pin, his hat is facing forward, and the next shot has his hat backwards again. That is the only point I have so far, but the actual scenes of them arm wrestling are suspicious for me

You're really grasping at straws here.

All throughout the matches they'll edit in slow-motion shots for dramatic effect. This is a very common technique in TV and film. You noticed that one of those shots was out of order chronologically, that's all. In no way whatsoever does that even hint at the matches being "likely fake". What would the point of faking a match even be?

From someone that worked on the show-the matches are real and based on the outcome, yes-dramatic and slow mo shots are created around it.
