The new season started on Nickelodeon today...
On Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 12:00 PM (EST), "Power Rangers Super Dino Charge" premiered with episode #1: "When Evil Stirs." It's a continuation of Dino Charge, with the same cast and a total of seven Rangers in action in the first episode, including the Purple Ranger, Kendall Morgan, finally a second female Ranger (introduced in the last episode of Season One). Prince Philip shows up briefly, promising an eighth Ranger in the next episode and the teaser at the end seemed to indicate a coming lineup of ten Rangers.
I had no idea the premiere was planned. I just happened to check the onscreen guide for Nickelodeon to see which episode of Dino Charge they were repeating today and there it was, the new season. It's apparently a continuation of "Kyoryuger." I hope this doesn't mean we don't get a U.S. adaptation of "Ressha Sentai Toqger," a series I like a lot for its train theme.
