I thought those 53 minutes were excruciating.

I found it strangely beautiful. There was one partiulcar shot that was just brilliant and that's when the monk is moving down the stairs. At one stage the brightness and heat of the sun is grabbing the red colour of his robe and thus reflecting it across the stairs around him creating a kind of red pool effect. I thought that was just brilliant and rather profound.
