As someone who never watch "The Room" before...

The original Tommy Wiseau movie. Is it worth a try?

If you are curious why The Disaster Artist is so heralded, then check out The Room. Fair warning, though: it has garnered intensely powerful reactions from all who have seen it. As someone who has braved this emotional journey dozens of times, I can attest that no other film will make you look deeper into your own soul.

To be forever changed, enter Tommy Wiseau's The Room.

If you're asking if The Disaster Artist (as opposed to The Room) is worth a try I'd say it is. Even if you haven't seen the room it holds up on its own...although if it were pure fiction it would be hard to believe a character like Tommy really exists.

It's a really poorly conceived film. But if you really want to get the full Wiseau experience, I would say you gotta watch that one and then this one, both hilarious movies in their own way.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see and if you have any thoughts or criticisms, i'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance. A review of The Disaster Artist here- https://youtu.be/Kjf3HHXDnaw

For the full full experience you should also read The Disaster Artist book. There is a ton not in the movie and a lot of what did make the movie is changed abbot to fit the narrative. The backstage atmosphere in the book is way worse than even the movie shows.

Have you seen it already? If not I recommend seeing it at a midnight screening. I cannot imagine seeing it by myself. You'd have to have some drinks if you watch it by yourself. It's one movie where it's not only acceptable to text while watching but encouraged.

Midnight screenings are a blast though. That's where you get the full experience. And I do think seeing the Disaster Artist without having seen The Room would be odd.

So I saw both The Room by myself and then The Disaster Artist with friends. Yeah, the former was just... really bizarre and an overall poor movie with its intentions. Lol! I even find myself bursting out of laughter from some moments.

The Disaster Artist, however, was really good. It's both naturally funny and had some serious moments behind Wiseau's rise of "fame". I thought James Franco especially did a great performance as him.
