Period setting

Watched this a couple of days ago, and was actually rather impressed, especially bearing in mind this was Geoghegan's first time in the chair. Yes, there are plot holes and unanswered questions, but it is a movie after all... I was particularly impressed with the attention to period detail... Assuming the movie is set in 1979 (watch it to see why), the clothes, furniture, cars and even hairstyles were all authentic. There are some too-modern vehicles which creep into some shots (the pickup and the semi), but these are essentially out of the director's control, and when working on a shoestring budget, it obviously couldn't be helped... Good fun, well done, worth an hour-and-a-half of your time... Enjoy!..

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe...

I thought the film was quite sad. So full of tragedy.

Yeah I was confused as to what the time period it was trying to be set in. I got a late 70's vibe but a few things made it seem more modern.
