If you were out with a friend who is a recovering alcoholic would you order wine like she did or a drink?
shareI was bothered by that scene. The friend seemed to be a bit hesitant at times to think Sandy would remain strong. I understand that. Didn't she make a comment to her about being careful? I was disturbed she ordered the drink. If she thought Sandy might slip, don't have the wine in her presence right then!!!!
I know some people believe that recovering alcoholics have to deal with the fact that others drink. Maybe so but I just don't I could drink in their presence. I feel bad when I go out to eat with a friend on a diet and I'm pigging out!
Side note, this post probably isn't worded as well as I would like but I'm exhausted! Forgive my errors.

Maybe so but I just don't I could drink in their presence.Agreed. While I believe that the world should not have to work around a recovering alcoholic but rather the alcoholic should have work around the temptations of the world, I don't think I could do the same if I was dining with an alcoholic friend one-on-one. Then again, I'm sure you and I are better friends than the character in question.
