Check Wikipedia - there is a sound byte with the actual correct pronounciation. It's Vincent Van Goghghghgh, like you are hawking a loony from way back in your throat. There is no 'k' sound. Americans say 'Go', Brits say 'Goff' Dutch say 'Gojhjh'.

I actually learned the correct pronunciation of it in 3rd grade on an imaginary trip to Europe (I know, sounds weird, but it was cool). But I hate saying it aloud here in the states without sounding pretentious. Haha
