I hate their 'thoughts'

The internal monologs is annoying as hell. The worst part of the show to me. I don't wanna hear their thoughts. I would rather have them actually communicate. It over takes the show. It's more than half of the show, which is horrible. Both of them have more thoughts than actual dialog. What's up with that. I've been annoyed since the first episode. I really wanna like this show and it is okay so far but I would like less of it. I'm only giving this show a chance now cause I live Analeigh Tipton. Otherwise I would've stopped. The rest of the cast is good too which is why I hate that I hate this show right now. Hope it works out and they fix it. 20%thoughts would be okay, or less

I initially hated the spoken mind as well. But I let it sit for a week and revisited the episode, accepting it for what it was and quite enjoyed it. I now find it delightful and charming and appreciate the clever edge it lends to the already witty dialog. I especially like how we get the internal monologue from both characters, where as it's typically just one.

That was actually my favorite part. I'm not sure I've ever seen a show spend so much time inside the characters heads before and I find their thoughts to be very interesting. For one reason, it's interesting how the opposite sex is often thinking something very different then what you expect, which I'm sure happens more then most of us think. I guess that requires too much thinking?

and some cases, the characters are thinking the exact same thing or you're thinking what they're thinking.
I enjoy it. I'm just glad that it's not a show where they're being interviewed or "talking" to us.

Never watched Scrubs, eh? Did it much better.

That's the concept of the show! To know what people are actually thinking and what they let themselves say out loud to the person they are interested in. It hooked me in the first episode because her thoughts were so accurate. I'm so sad this was cancelled.

Much like the way the dialogue was handled in Annie Hall.

Their thoughts was the basis of the show and the integral part. They were going for the everyday thoughts people think about during a relationship, like in the beginning of the episode 5 when both wanted some waffles but for various reasons said no at first then kinda changed their minds together.
