Walter, Cabe and Paige

I'm going to take a risk and critique a scene that a lot of people probably really liked, but I'm really irritated by the scene when Cabe advised Walter to continue to hide his feelings from Paige because he wasn't ready for that kind of relationship.

In the first place, that should be Paige's decision, not Cabe's! She clearly has feelings for Walter, her son adores him--and would be pretty messed up by now without him--the three of them could be a wonderful family. Tim has no relationship with Ralph, other than being nice to him so he can get closer to Paige. How will Paige feel if she stays with Tim, and later discover she could have had Walter, if Cabe hadn't interfered? Or Tim for that matter? Why is he still chasing Paige when he knows that Walter loves her?

The other thing I felt was wrong about Cabe's speech is that it was meant to be intimate, but came off distant. Cabe said "I care for you" but not like he has in the past, when he's said, "I care about you" (minor difference, but important) and sounded like he was talking to his son, which is clearly the relationship he and Walter have. This time he sounded more like a high school principal lecturing a student he barely knew.

This scene could have been golden, but turned out rusted instead.

Tim is still chasing Paige because he wants to be with Paige. You do bring up an interesting point. I would love to see a scene with Ralph and Tim. I don't really have a good sense of what thier relationship is like. It could just be a short scene of Tim picking up Ralph from school, then a call comes and they have to go the Scorpion garage for the mission/case of the week.
