I have seen the wrong setup of pieces in numerous movies. but setting the pieces in front of the pawns on that blue computerish scene was seriously embarrassing. add to that the wrong placement of bishops and knights for the so called female champion and the wrong placement of king and queen ... seriously how hard is it to use the correct setup?
Could you be more specific about in which scenes they showed incorrect board set-ups? I went back to see what you meant, but there are too many scenes with chess boards for me to look at them all (I'm too lazy to do that).
I also found it embarrassing that the entire team declared "We don't play chess" when Sly and Ralph played chess at the diner Paige was working at--on the very first episode!
I just watched the episode on my DVR and couldn't believe the pawns being in the 1st row on the computer screen. How would that even happen? I haven't played chess in so long that I wouldn't notice the king and queen being in the wrong spots but you'd think they would make sure it was correct.
I think the ruling on both of them losing after the chest pieces were knocked down was kinda ridiculous also. If 1 gets DQ'd the other 1 should have went to the final. They said the game couldn't be verified so how can they say he lost?
TO be geniuses, they're all sloppy af. lol
shareThis show has never been completely accurate, but it is entertaining and the cast has great chemistry too. Although if I were the script writers or a member of the cast or crew while on set, I would've been sure to correct that before filming. Good catch!
